At SPL, we understand that current and accurate Petroleum Industry News is necessary for informed decisions.

In the spring of 2020 the world went into lock-down in attempt to stop the spread of Covid-19. The oil market crashed. Crude went negative for the first time in history and SPL could not keep up with the calls and emails from panicked customers. SPL started a weekly email blast called The Distillate to keep everyone informed of swiftly changing regulations, pricing and product availability.

Fast forward two years to the Russian invasion of Ukraine and again SPL faced a barrage of panicked customers. But by this time, SPL had developed a reputation for having our fingers on the pulse of the industry at large and were fielding calls from random business owners, consumers and even journalists.

Amidst this chaos, The Distillate was launched. A weekly publication that covers all things oil accurately, concisely and if we dare say, amusingly.
